This book is about a gruesome multiple homicide, based on a true story. The author interviewed the people involved, from the neighbours, to the investigators. It is as detailed and as personal as a book can be. It definitely make me feel better (while reading the book) to know that the murderers had been caught.
The book examines the complex psychological relationship between two parolees who together commit a mass murder – Wikipedia
I love Stephen King’s novel. His stories are quite diverse. They have a little bit of a dark side, but varies from one to the other. I’ve read from Dreamcatcher, to Green Mile, to The Shining, and of course ‘part II’ of The Shining, Doctor Sleep. Each and very one of them are quite different.
Mr. Mercedes is to be a Trilogy, about a retired policeman, Bill Hodges, solving crimes, finding Mr. Mercedes. This book is set out very similarly to Robert Galbraith’s Cuckoo Calling and The Silkworm, about a private detective who solve crimes.
All in all, I enjoy Mr. Mercedes. Kept me on suspense and wanting to read more and more and more, until the end of the book.
